Tutorials

Need help remembering how I did something today?
No worries!  Below are tutorials on everything we talked about.

How did I create those auras?

Google Docs/QR Codes

I'm assuming that you have an account in Google Docs.  I created a google survey and attached the survey to a QR Code for easy access.  See the tutorial for how to create the google survey and link it to a QR Code.

How do I see my assessment?

You can see the results by going back to your google docs survey and finding a new document with the same title only the word "responses" has been added.  Results will appear in a spreadsheet.  You can also choose "show summary of responses" to see a graph of your results.  See tutorial for specifc details.

Telegami App/QR Codes

I'm going to be gone again this week and I hate not doing an orff activity.  The kids are tired of bingo!  No worries, let the Telegami App linked to a QR code do all the work.  You can be gone from class and know the kids will still be singing while you are gone.  See the video for more details.

Reflector

I used Reflector to mirror my iPad today during the presentation.  I can use an adapter and plug that into my iPad as well but then I cannot travel with my mobile device.  With Reflector, I can move around the room and mirror my iPad from any place in the room.  Other devices can be mirrored as well.  Just think, each riser group could share their rhythm or melody for the whole class to see!  Click on the picture to get a 7 day trial, free.  (Airserver is another option. Find out which application your district has decided to use.)

vs

Apple 30 pin to VGA Adapter

$30 at the Apple Store or Radio Shack

This adaptor is reliable and a fantastic way to display your iPad to your projector.  The only problem is that the iPad is not mobile anymore.  It must stay connected to the adapter to project.  Also, remember to have a sound source for the iPad as well so students can see and hear what you are projecting from the iPad.

The Apple VGA Adapter is compatible with your iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad Dock.
